Men and Steroids – Alternatives

Since anabolic steroids are illegal in the United States, athletes might be looking to alternatives to get that extra boost when it comes to performance enhancement. Many people, however, are cautious about the effects and benefits of these alternatives – especially because many of them have not been used long enough to document much about their effects.

Generally, these alternatives are products that turn into testosterone and other hormones after they enter the body which allows them to help increase muscle mass AND sidestep the laws against steroids at the same time. These alternatives should still be used with caution, however, since many of them are not yet FDA approved and don’t have clear indications of side effects and benefits.

AndrosteDerm is one possible alternative to anabolic steroids. AndrotesDerm claims to help people keep their levels of testosterone at a healthy rate. It is topically applicated which is a benefit over steroids that go through the digestive system. There are cautions to using AndrotesDerm in that people with cancer shouldn’t use it, those over 50 need to monitor their prostate and everyone should monitor their hormone levels during use. Additionally, AndrosteDerm can interact with other drugs.

Another alternative to anabolic steroids is Dermagain. Dermagain is also a topically applied substance and people who have used it claim that it produces great results quickly. As mentioned earlier, it’s a topical application that bypasses the digestive system and it only needs to be applied once a day. Dermagrian works by allowing the muscles to rest and recover quickly so that they will be ready for another workout quickly. It’s important to note, however, the Dermagrain is not designed to show any results without an accompanying exercise program and it has not been tested or approved by the FDA in terms of results and side effects.

Overall, the safest way to enhance performance without the side effects is still using proper nutrition with a diet high in protein, strength training, keeping a positive attitude and using yoga or some other relaxation exercises.
